Tierra viva

Marta, a Polish singer who was once famous, travels to Guatemala following the sudden death of her son, Daniel. At the airport, she is met by Marco, Daniel’s partner – a man she had never heard of before. As they set off on a journey across the country to retrieve Daniel’s body, the tension between them grows, fuelled by cultural differences, unspoken truths and a past that neither of them has come to terms with. What begins as a struggle for control gradually turns into an unexpected confrontation with who Daniel was — and who he never managed to become. dir. Blaise Grisson edit. Hubert Pusek prod.
